Singularity University“ or ”Singularity University“ is an interdisciplinary university whose mission is to ”bring together, educate and inspire leaders who strive to understand and facilitate the exponential development of technologies in order to address humanity's grand challenges.“.
Google created the University in 2008, with the help of NASA and other innovation multinationals. The Singularity University is located near Google's headquarters in Mountain View. It is directed by the controversial Ray Kurzweil, who has even anticipated the arrival of the technological singularity (when robots will come to equal, mingle with and even surpass man) in 20 years' time.
Singularity University searches for 80 innovative ideas from around the world each year with the goal of helping millions of people once they have been developed.
